An emo day.

YESTERDAY, the 29th April was my mother's birthday. Years ago, an unhappy incident happened which ruined this date.
Actually thought that the assignments and project will keep my mind occupied and i will forget this unhappy incident..


Never thought going to school yesterday will make me feel even worse. Planned to meet my group members at 10am. I was late by around 7 minutes. 


When i reached the open gallery, i realised i was the first of the group to arrive. Sms-ed and called some of the members. One was still at home (woke up late) , another was on the way.... Saw another member online and he said he's still at home. He even added that his house is just nearby and he is able to reach school quickly. 


Around 11am, Vincent finally reached. We discussed the project and Yun Da came around quite some time after. Steven came at 12pm. The day before, he even told us he would reach latest by 10:15am. He gave the excuse that he drank too much of cough mixture the night before thats why he couldnt wake up on time this morning.... -.-" At around 12:30pm, the last member; Jonathan, finally arrived.


Really pity myself for being the only girl in the group.
During yesterday's SSS lesson, our teacher showed us some powerpoint about Life lesson story themes.
Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
He then started talking about good movies and he told the class to be inspired by OLD BOY korean movie about Vengence.

We were then asked to form groups of around 6 or 7 and come out with a interesting story that has events and obstacles. Alex had lots of ideas and he suggested we a story related to Vengence. 

Our story eventually became about crime, mafia and revenge. Alex suggested we act out the story as we present to the class. Steven was made the main character. In the story, he has a wife and a daughter. In our group, Kiwi and I are the only females. Hence, Kiwi acted as the daughter and I acted as the wife. LOL!

While acting, some of the classmates jokingly asked why Steven's wife and daughter are white. After we finished the presentation, i saw Shakila's status on facebook: YAYYYY for multi-racial family! Steven John & Ki Wi Lee.

HAHA!

I seriously think my class is the most active class on facebook during lessons. The whole of the facebook news feed is flooded with their statuses (What's on their mind?). haha...

Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.

Oh yeah! Something new today: I applied makeup! HAHA!!  Just applied some foundation as well as powder blush. heehee! Didnt really apply much for fear of my mother questioning me again when i reach home. Shall try again by applying more next time.. ^^

Time to sleep! 2:10AM! Lesson starts at 8AM later. We will be changing our venue to BLK 44! RIGHT AT THE CORNER OF NGEE ANN POLY! ulu ulu place.... near canteen 4. Our teacher says its gona be held at the design studio! woohoo... sound cool! haha..

Sack in a Halfpipe

Did this during Principles of Body Mechanics lesson using Toon Boom Studio, together with the school's tablet and iMac. Rushed through this animation during lesson time yesterday. If i had more time, i believe i can do a much better job! :(

During yesterday's Principles of Body Mechanics lesson, we had to animate a heavy and light ball. It was very similar to the bowling ball and bouncing ball animation we did during Animation Principles last semester. Just that, we are doing it on the computer instead.

In DA, my two favourite modules are 3D Modelling & Animation and Principles of Body Mechanics. I like using Maya & Toon Boom Studio! :)

Today's figure drawing lesson should be rated R21!

We had a female model this time. At the start, the model was asked to pose with her clothes on. Everyone felt nervous and kept asking around if the model will have to pose without her clothes on.
After our break, our teacher asked if anyone minded if the class draws the model without her clothes on. Nobody was against it. When the model sat down and posed, more than ¾ of the class sat down behind her and drew her back instead.
Spent the whole of last night rushing my skeleton drawings and my teacher said we could hand it up next week! DD:

Had our second lesson of 3D modelling with norman. This lesson was much more fun compared to the first as we get to learn more interesting stuff about Maya. I somehow started liking Maya.
Now's the second week of school and we have work to submit almost every single day. Even have to download Maya onto our macbooks to do our work. HAIZ......... DA DA... make my life so unhappy.

Recently, the artfriend business thing was driving the four of us(me, Ethan, Shiyun & Hui Li) crazy. Had to trouble the artfriend staff to make a few trips down, delivering the stocks, collecting money and returning the balance stocks back to them. Blame the DA teachers for the miscommunications and unable to make up their minds.

Watched the Doll Master for the Third time today. I got shocked by the same scene again... The part where Yeong-ha went crazy, rushing out of her room and grabbed Hae-mi's hair. The sound effects especially was really scary.. haha

Felt very sleepy the whole day. I should really thank Eric for giving me a huge shock this morning by standing at the window right behind me while i was in the corridor talking. haha!
On the bus going home, my eyes were barely open! It was already small enough. So if i didnt sleep well, it will simply disappear.. ahaha!

Spent the whole night listening to Koda Kumi's Moon Crying (Live in Taiwan)! Simply love this song. One of the saddest song i've ever heard. Made my tears well up in my eyes just now..

I ate Mos Burger for the first time today! Was recommended the Teriyaki Chicken Burger.
It's so expensive, around $6+ for one set.
The burger was so small!
Their fries didnt even look like it was upsized!
The minestrone soup didnt really have much taste.
HAHA... The burger tasted quite nice actually. Although i didnt really like the raw vegetables inside. To NOT WASTE FOOD, i finished everything! HEHE...
Ate MOF's chocolate ice cream after that. ^^ Shopped around Lot 1 and bought a shirt, a pair of shorts and a pair of knee length jeans. Cost around $61 in total after minus-ing $40 for some member's special. haha

Treated my parents to chilli crab to celebrate my mother's upcoming birthday. It cost $28! My mother had such a hard time cracking the shells of the crab.. hehe!

I didnt like my fringe after i cut it on saturday, so it cut it again just now! It looks so much shorter right now. HAHA!! But at least it looked better than before.

Got a shock from Shiyun on msn. She said that tmrw morning we had to reach school at 8am as the art friend people will be delivering the charcoal. Went to reconfirm with Ethan and he said they had alot of things to confirm and their slots in the afternoon were all full. He still said we had no choice as we were appointed to run the business.. HAIZ

I felt so cheated. But I was glad I dont have to go to school so early! ^^

Alone.

Didnt intend to stay at home today. Actually planned to go to my grandma's house at bugis and take a look around art friend to see if theres any other cheaper compressed charcoal we could use for FDW lesson. Also had to get a small box to keep the charcoal. Not really sure whats wrong with me today. After i woke up at around 11.30am, i only felt like staying at home.. Saw my mother ironing my clothes. She was ironing similar clothes i wore this week.... HAIZ.. -.-

I was bored. So i cut my own fringe and did facial with this charcoal mask my mother bought from Daiso.. ^^ Just when i wanted to go out and get lunch, it started raining very heavily. I ended up looking around for food to cook. To think my mother still lied to me about having no MEAT for me to use to cook at home. Found a frozen pack of minced meat.. Had to defreeze it before i could cook noodles... Finished my lunch at around 4.45pm.

Just downloaded a whole load of JPOP songs by BoA and Koda Kumi! Was introduced tons of nice songs by BoA. I think i am so addicted to JPOP now... BYE BYE KPOP! HEHE.....

yesterday :)

Events management class yesterday morning at 8am. Our teacher, Mr Richard Lim, told the class he wanted everyone to be punctual for lessons. He kept talking about discipline, leaving everyone the impression that he's a very strict teacher.. He started talking about himself; his university and working life. He described his experiences to us in a funny way with all the actions and sound effects.. Haha!

Had another new project. For this week we had to settle down in our groups of 5 and brainstorm as main events as possible and select one event we would like to work on. There had to be a leader in every group.

My group couldnt decide on a leader therefore we decided to use the childhood 'open numbers' method to decide! LOL!! Our teacher even came over and laughed at us!! HAHA! Okay.. And i ended up being the leader AGAIN! HAIZ!! Probably i got the 'leader' face, thats why i was chosen as the class rep also.. Hahaha....
We chose LOL! as our group name after some brainstorming too.. XD Among all the groups, my group was the most hyper one. Theres this girl who laughs very loudly and blabbers alot about kpop and their MVs.

We were actually discussing about events and then they ended up watching videos on facebook. I was left Emo-ing, chatting on msn.. XD Our next I&E lesson will be held at a different venue which is at BLK 44, right beside canteen 4. Our dear teacher didnt like us to brainstorm in a room with four walls, so he decided to conduct the next lesson in the Design Studio! ^^ Anticipating... :)

Went for dinner with the homeless people again. HEHE... It was at makan place this time, due to the thunderstorm! Ordered drinks for almost everyone and i ended up with tons of coins! HAHA XD
When i reached home, my mother nagged again as usual. Asking me why i keep having dinner in school this few days instead of eating at home, why i always stayed back in school until so late....... :(

Saw this performance on Channel U with Rain dancing to his "It's Raining" in the rain. He almost slipped after a few dance steps due to the slippery stage. However, he managed to balance himself and continued dancing with a cute smile on his face! :)

After a while, i camped in my room and turned on the air con. A beetle suddenly flew above me and started knocking against the walls making lots of noise.. I Hate bugs ALOT! Especially those which can fly! Used my 60cm ruler to scoop the eerie bug and threw it outside the window. Hehe... BUG's Life. ^^

YAWN! 3AM ALREADY!! My eyes are already small enough.. Better sleep now or else my eyes will disappear! HAHA.. NIGHT!!!!! ^^

Scriptwriting, Storyboarding & Storytelling. We had scriptwriting lesson today! Talking about movies and their scripts. When asked what my favourite movie was, i said "The Doll Master". ^^ For least favourite, i have no idea. HAHA! Scriptwriting lesson is interesting, although sometimes i dont understand the teacher's powerful english. We were shown and told many facts about scriptwriting.

"If a story can't work in ten minutes, how will it work in 110 minutes. It wont get better when its bigger. Everything that's wrong with it in a ten-minute pitch is ten times worse onscreen."

We had a few group exercises in class today where we were asked to choose a movie and state its Genre, Setting, Logline and Theme. We chose Titanic as the movie. Therefore, the setting of the movie is a cruise ship.
When we were asked to tell the class about the movie, our dear friend KIWI pronounced Cruise Ship as Bull shit. Probably because of her braces! HAHA!! Many of us burst out laughing including our teacher.. HAHA! Our first group assignment for this module came in near the end of the lesson. The grouping was chosen by our teacher and I had to group with four other guys: Vincent, Steven, Yun Da and Jonathan. LOL! poor me...

We have to choose a favourite movie, select pivotal of 16-24 scenes and provide a caption for the key scenes to be done on powerpoint. First week only and we have 2 projects and 2 drawings to submit! SIGH!!!

Never expected PBM(Principles of Body Mechanics) lessons to be so fun! Had the chance to use the tablet. Jim forced everyone to use the Stylus pen instead of using the mouse to control the iMac.

We used the Toon Boom Studio software to animate a bouncing ball. Its similar to what we did last semester during Animation Principles,just that we are now animating on computer. We will also be using MAYA ALSO in this module :'( and revise on the Animation Principles we were taught last semester. HAHA!

Our very first assignment was to animate a sack on a half pipe and complete the assignment by next week.

Jim said that we will be having lesser lessons due to the YOG, but the amount of work we are be given will not be affected. D: Same Amount of Work = Lesser Time. DD:

Whats worse is that we dont have the software to complete the assignments on our macbook, so we have to rush all the work in school. DDD: SIGH!

However, one good news is that we wont be using our macbook much. SO... we dont have to bring our macbooks on wednesdays! Tuesdays too!! (Y) DA (Y) I ate chocolate ice cream after dinner! Long time no eat! hehe.. Eating ice cream makes me happy:). SO... I should really eat more. haha.

WAO 2AM LIAO! Better go sleep before my parents wake up and turn off the internet! :(

beginning of lessons.

Had figure drawing lesson this morning.. Had to draw a half-naked man. LOL! So hard to draw figures... Had to use charcoal to draw the pose he makes within 3 minutes before he changes to the next pose. Challenging for me! haha... Now having 3D Modelling and Animation lesson. So bored and sleepy! Everyone's facebooking on their mac! Some even plan to go to the toilet together to "escape" from the lesson.. haha (Y) Really Really Bored! Our teacher, Norman showed us a screenshot of the Modelling Software, MAYA. It looks freaking scary with buttons everywhere. Blender already looks scary enough.. Haiz, theres gona be a practical test on for this module. :(

Hopefully, I can do well. ^^

The first thing i did when i reached home was to CLEAN MY BAG!! Luckily my bag was a bit greyish in colour, the stain from the orange juice wasnt too bad. Sigh.. I am always co clumsy. A pimple grew on my elbow(what a bad location). I keep forgetting about it until i rest my hand on the sofa's armrest or accidentally rest in on the wall... :( poor pimple, the skin around it seems a bit swollen. haiz... No lesson on the first day of school. :) & :( Good thing is that i have an extra day for holiday. Sad thing is that i am bored.. haha Sigh...

Recently, i have been feeling like a prisoner. My mother has been checking my handphone, bag and facebook acount everyday. I dread going home every night. She never fails to question me about this and that. I need some privacy.. I have grown up! :'( HAIZ... 1AM already. Lessons at 9am.. :) Gonna sleep now! NITE:)

First day of Year 2

I had a terrible morning. Was treated to orange juice and i spilt a quarter of it on my new bag.. :( When i was packing my bag, i accidentally knocked over the cup and the remainder was spilt onto my handphone!!!☹ Luckily my phone can still work. However, when i received a call from wesley, i couldnt hear him! The voice was very very soft... D: Haiz. Just sent my phone for repair few months ago before the warranty expired and now this had to happen... Luckily sony ericsson phones can survive floods! haha.. My previous sony ericsson phone slipped into a pool at sentosa. Surprisingly, it can still be used! ^^ I am really a very clumsy girl. :(

My first year in poly ^^

I had a very Busy and Fun first year in poly. Before the first year started, i did not even expect so many projects and assignments. Probably i did not read up more on this course before choosing it as my first choice. MULTImedia & Animation!

The "MULTI" in the multimedia already says it all. I started sleeping very late and broke my record by sleeping at 5a.m! WOW!!! HAHAHA. Although its very tiring, I really enjoy doing the projects given.
^^ Made many friends! ^^
 It was such a coincidence that Camellia; my most talkative classmate, is the daughter of my mother's old neighbour! HAHA!! If she hadn't been in the same school as my cousin, i would not have even found out! hehe..

During the two weeks june holidays in the first semester, i went on an overseas trip with the school to tioman. Actually, more than half of the students in my class wanted to go. But end up, only Me, Kiwi, Reuben and Wang Cong went. HAHA! (Y)

Tioman is such a nice place. With clear blue water where you can just look down and see the fishes and corals during the day, its one of the best places for snorkelling and fishing. Fishing was fun! Although me and Kiwi only caught one fish! HAHAHA.. Wang Cong caught ALOT of fishes! Maybe the fishes in Tioman are mostly females!! XD

HAIZ... SO SLEEPY! YAWNS!!! Shall continue writing more after i wake up.. hehe^^

♪ I like to play the piano. Sadly, i stopped my piano classes as the fees were becoming more expensive and i am too busy with my poly projects. hehe

✌ I like sports! Depends on what kind of sports.. haha. I love to play badminton. Since primary two, i started learning how to play badminton and joined the school team when i was primary three. I was one of the lousiest players in the team and was made the reserve for tournaments. I remembered my first time playing in a match was against Singapore Chinese Girls School. They were one of the strongest schools in the zone. Nevertheless, my partner and I lost the match terribly. It was mostly my fault. I was lucky my coach did not blame me... ^^
